Macy's Santaland!

Today, we took Piper to meet Santa at Macy's!  It's the largest Macy's in the world and the area where you stand in line is called Santaland. It is decorated to the nines! We took lots of pictures as we walked through the maze and, lucky for us, there was no line.  That is what getting there at 9am on a random Wednesday will get you. The whole process only took about 15 minutes.  Piper slept, woke up to see Santa, put in a good word to the big guy, and was back to sleep in no time.  She was happy and smiling for Santa but the picture just turned out okay.

We really enjoyed the whole experience; however, we were slightly disappointed the elves didn't kick the kids down a slide at the end...can you name that movie???

Here are some pictures of our fun time.

Thumb Sucker

On her 3 month birthday Piper discovered her thumb!  She has been sucking it ever since.  I am totally okay with this for now since I don't have to worry about keeping up with a pacifier and she can soothe herself so easily.  I am sure I will be regretting all of this in a few years but for now it is fantastic, and so cute!

3 Months!

You are interacting with strangers and us more and more each day.
You love to smile and laugh at little kids.
You smile all the time and sometimes sort of laugh.
Your language is definitely developing.  Your coos and sounds are more frequent and variated.
You recognize your Mommy and Daddy’s faces.
You are growing out of your 0-3 month sized clothes.
You are in a good mood in the morning and always smile when you see your Daddy.
You have really discovered your hands and suck on them often.  You have started sucking your thumb and I’m hoping that sticks!
You can sit upright with support and love the new view this brings!
You like to hit and bat at toys that hang down.
You still love to kick your legs in excitement.
You love to be read to, especially by your Daddy.
You are trying to sing along when we sing to you.  Some of your favorites are Old McDonald and Wheels on the Bus.

Rolling Over?

I put Piper on her belly to play and left the room.  When I came back this is what I found!
She has not done it again, despite our coaxing, but we are watching intently!  Our girl is getting so big!

Thanksgiving 2012

We were able to be home in Texas for a whole week over Thanksgiving!  I enjoyed eating Sushi with girls from work, shopping and wrapping all of our Christmas gifts, dates with just me and my hubby and spending time with family and friends.  We enjoyed our relaxing time and are looking forward to our return over Christmas!  Here are some pictures of our time at home!
